Learn to Swim

Learn to swim at CVSC!

The Learn-To-Swim program provides a safe, fun environment in which children will improve aquatic skills, develop stroke readiness and ultimately develop a sense of comfort in the water.

Cherry Valley Swim Club is proud to offer our Learn-to-Swim program for the first time since 2019!

The Learn-to-Swim program provides a safe, fun environment in which children will improve aquatic skills, develop stroke readiness, and ultimately work toward earning their band. David Lawton and Rayna Lymper, members of the swim team coaching staff, will be leading the program. Skills range from blowing bubbles and developing comfort in the water to floating, gliding, kicking, and arm strokes. The most advanced swimmers may develop freestyle and backstroke, as well as learn rhythmic breathing and racing dives. Children of all ages are welcome but must be potty-trained and able to listen and follow directions. Parent/guardian must be present during the session unless arrangements are made in advance with Coach Rayna or Coach David.

There will be 3 groups of two-week sessions. The lessons will be held from 12:00 noon to 12:30 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (with the exception of July 4). The Sessions are as follows:

Session 1: June 27, 28, 29, July 3, 5, 6 Fee: $50.00

Session 2: July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 Fee: $50.00

Session 3: July 25, 26, 27, August 1, 2, 3 Fee: $50.00

Each session is capped to 14 children, and these slots generally fill up fast. In order to participate in the program, complete the registration form linked below. Please complete a separate form for each child. You can register for all 3 sessions.
