Good afternoon Cherry Valley Members,
My name is Laura Locke. Although I only started swimming a few years ago, I LOVE the sport. All three of my daughters swim and one of my favorite past times is watching them. I don’t have years of experience swimming. It’s just something that brings me joy and allows me to be on a team with my friends. I decided last year to spearhead a campaign to bring the Cherry Valley Masters Swim Team back. Luckily, enough people were interested and we had a BLAST.
This summer, practices will begin on June 22 and continue once per week on Thursdays at 7:00 PM. Team membership is completely free to members. This team is for ALL ability levels. This could be an opportunity to relive your glory days or add more movement to your summer routine. Please consider joining. We’d LOVE to have you. Please fill out the Google Form linked below if you’re interested.
There is one meet that takes place in the summer. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory. Swimmers only swim against people in their age group. The meet is held on July 23rd at Roberts Pool in Collingswood. It’s unofficial (there are no DQs), you can sign up for up to 5 events INCLUDING the raft relay at the conclusion of the meet, and you can even earn ribbons if you place!
